In the early 2020s, cultural changes saw an increased demand for comfortable everyday footwear. In line with this, Nike designed a clog-like recovery shoe named the ReactX Rejuven8, which was launched in January 2025.

The Nike Rejuven8 features a single-piece upper and midsole made entirely of cutting-edge ReactX foam. Lightweight, soft and 13% more responsive than traditional React, it offers all-round support, encompassing the whole foot in a plush embrace. In the spring of 2025, Nike expanded the series with the Rejuven8 Slide, which acts as an even more relaxed and breathable option due to its open heel and toe.

Its ReactX foam is naturally antimicrobial and easy to clean while also being made using an efficient manufacturing process whose carbon footprint is over 40% lower than that of a standard pair of shoes.

Months before the Nike Rejuven8 was released, legendary basketball player LeBron James was pictured wearing it while out and about in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. It was August 7th – one day after he had helped the United States to victory over Brazil in their quarter final match – and despite his exertions, the Rejuven8 proved its credentials as a recovery shoe, aiding the veteran NBA star while he enjoyed the city and later as he watched the United States women take on Nigeria. This showcased the casual style and restorative effects of the Rejuven8, with LeBron and his teammates going on to win gold just a few days later.
